Romeo and Juliet Summaries:
Act 1:The two families have a small fray in the beginning making Prince, the police chief, angry since he doesn't want anyone killing each other. He threatens them by saying that next time whoever starts the fight will be killed. Benvolio has a talk with Romeo about why he is sad and tells him that he isn't in love with Rosaline. Then Capulet talks to Paris about his daughter, Juliet, how she may not be ripe to be wedded. Then changes his mind and tells Paris that if you can woo her heart you can marry my daughter. Lady Capulet then calls Juliet to talk about marriage and finding love but she needs help from the Nurse which knows Juliet better. Then Mrs. Capulet sends Peter to get guest for the upcoming party but there was a problem... He couldn't read. He arrives with Romeo not knowing they are Montagues and they help him read the invitation. Romeo,Benvolio and Mercutio hoping Romeo can find a love at the party. They spend there time at the party and Romeo lays eyes with Juliet and have their first dance and kiss(s). Then later Romeo figures out shes a Capulet and she figures out he is a Montague.
Act 2: They leave the party and Romeo secretly runs back to meet Juliet. Mercutio and Benvolio are looking for him and making fun of him by making fun of him about love. Then Juliet enters the balcony and Romeo is hidden and he hears her talk about him and shows himself. They talk about love and marriage. Romeo shows his love and leaves promising her marriage. Romeo meets up with Friar Lawrence and they talk about marriage and Lawrence sees that he is asking marriage to a Capulet. Lawrence has his doubts but agrees to marry them because it might bring peace to both families. Then Benvolio and Mercutio meet up with Romeo and think he was up to sexual activity. Then the Nurse talks to Romeo about the promise he made to Juliet that he would marry her. Then the Nurse returns very tired and Juliet is pleading her to tell her what Romeo said about the marriage, but the Nurse doesn't tell her yet. Then she tells her and Juliet feels happy and the Nurse tells her to meet him at the Church. Then they meet each other and exchange romantic vows and get married.
Act 3: Benvolio and Mercutio are walking outside and its very hot and Benvolio complains that they should leave. Then Tybalt along with other Capulets appear and meet op with the Montagues. Mercutio smart talks Tybalt about being Romeo's friend. Tybalt is enraged at Romeo but Mercutio wants to fight Tybalt. Romeo appears and Tybalt wants to fight him but fights Mercutio instead. Then Romeo gets in the middle of their fight trying to stop it but Mercutio gets hit and dies. Then Tybalt leaves and comes back to fight Romeo. Romeo kill Tybalt and runs away and says" O, I am Fortune's Fool!" Then Prince comes and says that Romeo is banished from Verona. Then Juliet finds out that Romeo kills Tybalt and is sad. She just wants him close again. She sends the Nurse to go find him and give him the ring. Romeo is hiding at Friar Lawrence's place weeping and crying that he has been banished and he is going to miss his love. Then the Nurse comes in and tells Romeo that Juliet is okay and she still loves you and hands over the ring. Romeo feels better and wants to go see Juliet before he leaves. Mr and Mrs. Capulet are talking to Paris about marrying their daughter. They are coming up with a date for the marriage and they want Juliet to marry because she was sad about the death of Tybalt. Then they say that she will marry Paris on Thursday. Romeo passes the night with Juliet and then has to leave my morning since he was banished. He kisses here and leaves. Juliet talks with her mother about the villain Romeo and she plays along so her mother wouldn't suspect anything. Then Mrs. Capulet then tells her that she is to marry Paris but Juliet refuses. Then the Mr. and Mrs. Capulet get enraged about her choice. They also threaten her by saying they will abandon her. Then she talks to Nurse for help but she can't trust her anymore since she is saying to marry Paris and forget about Romeo. Then when she is along she thinks about suicide...
Act 4: Paris and Lawrence are talking about the wedding and Juliet comes in but wants to talk to Lawrence alone. She talks to Lawrence saying that if he didn't have a solution she would suicide. He came up with a plan which was to agree to the marriage and to drink a potion that makes you sleep for 42 hours. You will look dead and the family will have a burial ceremony and then Lawrence is going to write to Romeo telling him to dig up Juliet's grave and you will live happy together. She takes the vile trusting the Friar and goes home. Mr. and Mrs. Capulet are planning the wedding and they are to busy to talk but Juliet tells them that she will accept the marriage. They are happy about her choice and she leaves to her room. Juliet goes to her room and tells everybody to leave her alone to rest before the wedding and she takes the vial and she goes into a deep sleep. Then Nurse finds that she has died and warns her parents and weep for her. They take Juliet to her grave.
Act 5: Romeo had a pleasant dream that he had died and Juliet had revived him with kisses. The Balthasar enters and tells Romeo that Juliet is dead. Romeo was suppose to receive a letter from Friar Lawrence but he had given to another Friar but was stuck because the bubonic plague had struck and he couldn't mail the letter. Romeo throws a tantrum and rushes back to Verona but makes one last stop. He stops at an Apothecary's shop to ask him for some poison. The Apothecary warns him that it is illegal to sell poison in Mantua. Romeo notices that he is poor and needs money so he convinces him to sell it to him. Friar Lawrence was told by the other Friar that he couldn't send the letter because of the plague and Lawrence responds to him by saying "Unhappy Fortune." Then back at Verona Paris and his Page are leaving Juliet flowers. Then they hear something and go hide. Romeo and Balthasar arrive to Juliet's tomb and Romeo tells him to leave them alone and if Romeo sees Balthasar he would kill him. Balthasar leaves and Romeo digs up Juliet. Paris comes out and fights Romeo. Romeo kills Paris and Paris tells him to bury with Juliet. Romeo agrees and then talks to Juliet and pulls out the poison. He drinks it and thanks the apothecary for the great poison and kisses Juliet. Juliet then awakens and sees the dead bodies in her tomb. She sees Friar Lawrence and tells her to come with him but she says no and stay. Lawrence leaves and Juliet sees Romeo dead because of the poison. She kisses him to get the poison on her lips for her to die along with her love. She then grabs Romeo dagger and stabs herself. Then the Capulets and Montagues come together along with Prince and discuss the Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Mrs. Montague had died because she was worried of Romeo being banished. The Capulets and Montagues then decide to make a Statue of Gold of Romeo and Juliet to show their poor sacrifices because of their ri
